Ride with fellow Top Cats on Sunday, August 11, 2019 to the Mendota Sweet Corn Festival. Not only will you have the pleasure of being out on two (or three) wheels, but you get to eat all the sweet corn you can and all for free! Del Monte’s finest sweet corn served steaming hot and buttered. There is the Sweet Corn Festival Grand Parade featuring floats, bands, antique and classic vehicles as well as the Mendota Sweet Corn Festival Crafters’ Market Place and Flea Market. Ted Makarewicz will lead this ride with this plan.
Start Location: Behind the Shell Station at Lake Cook Road and Rand Road (Rt. 12)
Arrive at 8:30 a.m.
Pre-ride meeting: 8:45 a.m.
KSU: 9:00 a.m.
1:00 PM Sweet Corn Festival Grand Parade
2:00 PM FREE SWEET CORN All you can eat and don’t forget to bring zip lock bags to take some home.
3:15 PM Depart for home
