Fingerprints are no longer necessary unless you want to get your permit quicker. It will take an additional 30 days if you don’t get your prints. We recommend GAT Gun in East Dundee ($60) if you choose to get your prints.
(2) 8 hour class sessions
Veterans with a DD-214 can waive the first day of class.

March 19th & 20th (classroom) 9am start
March 26th (qualification shoot) 10am (tentative) We can meet for breakfast (8:30am) before arriving at the range (Island Lake Cafe)
The range qualification is to shoot at three B27 (silhouette) targets at 3 yards, 5 yards, and 7 yards…10 rounds at each target (7 rounds must strike somewhere on the target).
Application needs to be filled out prior to arriving to class. ID required: Driver’s License and FOID..NRA (optional)
If you don’t have your FOID card, apply online asap on the Illinois State Police website https://www.ispfsb.com/. You will be required to establish a login with their website, we will use that same login to submit your application concealed carry.
Spots need to be reserved by March 1 so range time can be reserved
