Looking for a couple of Top Cats to ride out to Watseka, IL., near Kankakee, and arrive in time for a Bar-B-Q lunch served by a couple of different vendors. We’ll then enjoy a couple hours of Blues inside the Watseka Theater. I led a small contingent of bikes there last year and it was an enjoyable ride and a fun time. We’ll be home in time for dinner. Last year we found it to be a pretty small event, no crowds and if I remember correctly, the local press was there and when I made up a story and told them Eileen Perry was just released from prison and wanted to make it to this event they interviewed her and posted a picture of us in the local paper. Who can I embarrass this year?
The ride will involve some riding on interstate 53 (355) and I-80 but there will be lots of miles on country 2 laners as well. Bring your IPass. If you don’t have an IPass, let me know at the pre-ride.
