Lake Zurich
RC:Tony Loden
The ride begins through Illinois and southern Wisconsin that will take us through Parts of Lake, McHenry and Walworth counties. Once we clear Illinois we will be traveling county back roads to take in the sights and sounds of typical Americana. We will stop for Brunch at Millie’s Restaurant in Delevan, WI with a chance to shop the colonial Williamsburg gift shop and buy souvenir trinkets that may or may not fit on the bike for the return home. From there, we will meander a bit westward if the weather is cooperating and return back to the friendly confines of Northern Illinois later in the afternoon.
The start point is D&J Bistro at the corner of Rt12 and Rt22 in Lake Zurich. We will be leaving at 9:30 sharp with a preride meeting at 9:15. This route should be doable for all bikes without gassing up so top off before the preride!
The brunch at Millie’s costs under $10 plus beverages and tip and is the very best around. No one should have to leave hungry.
