Starting from the corner of Rt14 and Rt176 in Crystal Lake, IL
Preride 8:15am

We start our weekend adventure at the McDonald’s Gas Station at the Northwest corner of Highway 176 and 14. Everyone should be gassed up and ready for the pre-ride at 8:15 and to leave with a “kickstands up” at 08:30. In order to travel 300 miles to reach Trempealeau, WI. by dinner time, we will have a fairly rigid but very comfortable schedule to follow. Lunch is at the Paradise Bar and Grill in downtown Galena, Il at noon. Arrival time at Trempealeau is by 5 pm.

The day ride is called the “Ride to Elmers” which will take us through backroads through Southwest Wisconsin’s Coulee Region. Sections of this ride are named; “The Tail of the Gecko” and “ The Whoa and Wow” which will make sense once you do this. We will have lunch at a restaurant in housed in an 1885 Freight House right in front of the Mississippi river in Winona, MN. After lunch, we will be visiting Elmer’s which is a private collection of muscle and antique cars, motorcycles and just about anything else on a private farm at the highest point in the area called Eagle Bluff in Fountain City, WI. Finally, a backroad approach to Trempealeau for some down time and then dinner at Sullivan’s Supper Club in Trempealeau.

Finally the last ride aptly called, “All Roads Lead to Home” which is generally a non-highway ride home and an arrival time of 4 pm at the corner of Highway 12 and 120.
It’s not to late to come. The more the merrier! Lodgings can be had at the Little Bluff Inn (608-534-6615) or at the Inn By The River (608-534-7784).

Please r.s.v.p. your road captain at bradbundy@comcast.net and I will see you ready and roaring at our start point.
